Additional Information

Modern, unique, sometimes unexpected color combinations of eyeshadow shades. Worn alone or together, all Duo Eyeshadow shades feature micro-fine powders that are highly pigminted, longwearing and crease resistant. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and blends effortlessly. The effects can be subtle or smoldering -- the options are endless.

  • True color application
  • Can be applied dry or with a dampened brush for stronger intensity
  • Multi-funtion use for shading, lining and highlighting the eyes
  • Classic, neutral, and fashion-forward shade pairings
I try to take an unusual approach with the Duo Eyeshadows -- sometimes surprising, always interesting. The colors won't necessarily match in a traditional sense, but they will always make you think; always make you want to explore the different ways of using the two shades together.
Tip
of
Don't be intimidated by some of these pairings! Use the lighter shade as a base and the darker shade as a liner. Remember – there are no rules! –Magda Ogbe, National Makeup Stylist

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HULA HULA!!!! Hula Hula is my new best friend!! Only NARS can come up with colour combos like strawberry and hazelnut with gold flecks in both!! I have big black/brown eyes and Hula Hula looks like it was personally made for me!! I use the strawberry on the bottom lid and the light brown one above, but either way would look good. I used Via Appia liner, but I just ordered Campo Fiori and I'm gonna try that one with it, too. This eye shadow is just so pretty and feminine, I'm mad that I didn't buy it a year ago!! It looks nice with a pink lipstick, like Anna, Fanny, or a nude colour. I think this shadow combo would look good with any woman of any nationality!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour combination!! I just got my Dolomites in the mail yesterday. I immediately started 'playing' with it. The first colour comes out like a very light pink/violet. Very shimmery. The brown has light sparkles of pink/rose. I very lightly dabbed my crease eye brush on the brown colour and it blended perfectly with the lid colour. I also used a tiny amount of wetted finger to Casablanca illuminator to add and blend below the eyebrow area on top of the eye. The look is gorgeous!! I have big brown eyes with thick long lashes, so this is a fabulous look for me. New Order blush goes with this look like it was made for it!! Any of your soft pink, or even darker pink lipsticks will go with this look perfectly, too. I have very fair skin with yellow undertones, but I look good in 'jewel tone' colours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colors I have always loved NARS eye shadow colors and have had my favorites. I have worn NARS makeup line for 10 years. Still love the line and especially the eye shadows. This Dolomite is by far one of the best and most beautiful colors I have ever used of NARS. Going to buy a 2nd one since it is a limited edition

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite, only Eye Shadow! I was told by my local [Honolulu] stores [Sephora, Nieman Marcus, Nordstrom, Macy's] that this marvelous color, Cleo, had been discontinued and that they were unable to obtain it for me...I was in shock and distressed; this, the most Important item in my personal makeup kit was gone. I am a Makeup Artist and pride myself on the amazing job I do daily on my own [81-year-old-but-still-Beautiful-former- model] face. Finally I thought to go Online, and the first item that popped up was this!!! I thought it might be an old posting but ordered anyway, praying that it would come to me! I could not believe it until it finally arrived and I could actually hold it in my hands!!! I am Ecstatic, it is the one thing I would take with me to that dessert island they tell us about! Thank you, thank you, I can now go on with Life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GORGEOUS COLOUR COMBO Egea is like wearing light sage and lilacs on your eyes!! The colours come straight from Mother Earth!! The sage is light and shimmery on the eye lid and I put the lilac in the contour of my eye and a light dusting below the brow bone. So MANY COMPLIMENTS!!! My Earth Child really comes out in this set. I've got a beautiful simple dark sage maxi skirt and light lilac silk shirt with a woven brown belt and brown suede clogs that I wore just for this set!!! I am blessed by God with long thick eye lashes, but if you're not, just use NARS mascara. This colour combo would look good on any woman, especially WOC!! I used Tokyo eye liner, but this combo also rocks with Iskandar. I have not purchased Rue De Ravioli (spelling?), but I'm betting that eye liner would look great, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous duo! This is my absolute favorite NARS eyeshadow duo that I own. The shades are soft and sultry on the eyes, giving a pinky brown toned look. The quality of the shadows is amazing, soft in texture, and the pigmentation is awesome. I highly recommend Dolomites to anyone who gravitates toward this color family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm a pale porcelain complexion with blue/grey/green eyes, and I love green. For years I've been trying to get a green look for eye shadow that fitted my "me but better" makeup style, i.e. a fairly natural look. I had the makeup artist at the NARS counter in Nordstrom try this duo on me and voila - the holy grail lovely MBB look I've been after. Woot! Previously, I've tried Urban Decay colors and a Lancome set. I like those brands and their shadows, partiularly UD, but NARS has the winning combo.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flash in Two Pans I'm going to bet that you have the colors in Tropical Princess, which I bought out-of-season in late fall. The Nars website shows a model wearing the icy lavender shade on her lower lids where it would make me look like a hot mess. Also recommended is a black eyeliner like Via Veneto whereas I would choose something less stark, probably purple. I'd remembered the violet shade in this duo as a matte violet; it is not. And lime or chartreuse colors have been widely available for many years. Maybe Summer 2015 will inspire me to use this palette with the icy lavender as a highlighter just below my brows. Maybe then the colors will make me feel (excuse the riff on the Nars name and appreciate my location on the Gulf Coast of Florida) like a SUBtropical Princess.
